CONNECTICUT ANNOUNCES COMPREHENSIVE ENERGY STRATEGY
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) developed the first-ever Comprehensive Energy Strategy for the State of Connecticut – an assessment and Strategy for all residential, commercial, and industrial energy issues, including energy efficiency, industry, electricity, natural gas, and transportation.

This Strategy was developed as called for in the milestone energy legislation, Public Act 11-80, passed in June of 2011. Section 51 of this Act requires that DEEP, in consultation with the Connecticut Energy Advisory Board (CEAB), prepare a Comprehensive Energy Strategy for Connecticut every three years. Read more...

CT GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES SPECIAL INCENTIVES
Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced on November 13, 2012 that $3 million in additional energy efficiency incentives are now available for residents and businesses replacing furnaces, boilers, hot water heaters and refrigerators as a result of damage from Storm Sandy. This includes increased rebates to cover much of the cost differential between standard and high efficiency gas and electric equipment – plus new rebates for higher efficiency replacements of oil and propane heating systems.
