National Grid(1) is an electric distribution and transmission company with over 1.8 million customers in New England. It offers an extensive portfolio of energy efficiency programs and services to residential and business customers. These programs educate customers about efficiency opportunities in their homes and facilities and provide incentives and technical assistance to help customers select, purchase and install energy efficient measures. National Grid relies extensively on local electricians, equipment vendors, engineering firms and other third parties for the delivery of its efficiency programs.
(1) National Gird is one of the largest international electric and gas distribution and transmission utilities in the world. In the United States, it operates electric and gas networks in upstate New York in addition to its operations in New England. It does not offer energy efficiency programs in New York.
